Welcome to my page! My name is Christina Caranica, and I am a student at California State University Channel Islands.  I am majoring in both Nursing and Psychology.  I have volunteered in the hospital since I was in high school, and this is what fueled my interest for the nursing field.  I have always loved the interpersonal aspect of nursing and I am currently enjoying my learning experience as a student nurse.

In the past, I worked as an intern at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, and I currently work for Assisted Home Health Services as a CNA. These experiences have given me a good grasp of the basic nursing skills, an essential part of the nursing role. Moving forward, I hope to grow as a health care provider, and more importantly, as a person as I continue to work with patients in need.  I would really love to work with a more vulnerable population, such as cancer patients. I am still a work in progress, but I cannot wait to apply everything that I learn in nursing school and life in general in my career as a future nurse!
